Latin, having long flexible shoots.
South-western and south-eastern Australia.
Usually in swamps (these may be seasonal) and margins of streams.

Distinctive in its semi-aquatic habitat, willowy broom-like growth habit and semi-succulent indehiscent fruit. Related to Daviesia and Erichsenia within the giant antipodals group.
